4 Steps To Overcoming Fear Of Public Speaking So You Can Make Money With Teleseminars

September 28th, 2009

Hey there,

I’ve got a video and an a post that will help you overcome your fear of public speaking, overcome any nervousness you have about running a teleseminar, and get completely comfortable with the whole process so you can get onto the business of growing your opt in list and making more money online.

Hit the Play Button Below to watch the video and then be sure to read the article below:

A frequently asked question I get is “how do I get comfortable with doing teleseminars?” The first tip I have is to start listening to a lot of teleseminars by established marketers. Just listening to teleseminars will get you more comfortable with how they work and you’ll be able to listen to people that are already good at doing teleseminars work their magic (you can learn a lot from successful people simply by modeling what they do).

So, with that said, my first piece of advice would be to start registering and listening to lots of teleseminars. Pay attention to how the speaker structures his calls, how he introduces his quest, how he asks his guest the questions, how he presents the sales pitch on the call. You can learn a lot from this simple method so I would highly recommend listening to as many teleseminars as you can

This will be an ongoing practice I would recommend that you stick with – the more teleseminars you listen to the more nuances you’ll pick up.

With that said, rolling up your sleeves and doing teleseminars of your own is still going to be a big part of your teleseminar success training…

Here is a simple 4 phase Formula for getting comfortable with doing teleseminars…

Phase 1: “Put Your Toe In The Water” – Self Recording

The simplest place to start with teleseminars is to set aside 15 minutes and call into your new bridge line to do a self recording. This way there is no pressure, no one else on the line and now downside if you screw anything up. You can call into you line, get comfortable with the muting and unmuting controls, the recording controls, and any other pertinent controls that you may want to be aware of. You can even record a short audio Q+A to use as a content piece for your blog or your newsletter. Whether or not you use the audio recording from this “toe in the water” session or not will still allow you to get comfortable with your bridge line and bring you one step closer to being a telseminar master!

Phase 2: Informally Interview A Friend or Colleague

The next phase in getting comfortable with teleseminars is to have a friend or colleague call into your bridge line at a predetermined time so you can informally interview them.

Don’t worry too much about the structure and making something ‘perfect’, just getting on the phone with someone else and recording the interview will be a good learning experience for you. You can download the audio recording of the call after you are done and critique it so that next time you do the call you can make any modifications that you need to…

Phase 3: Short Q+A Interview With An Expert In Your Niche (No audience)

Movin on up… :)

Ok, so now you can actually create some valuable content in a no-pressure environment (no live audience).

You might outline a simple script to follow (short intro, explanation of what you and your quest will be discussing in this short interview, ask your guest a question, allow your guest to answer, ask one or two more questions, wrap the call up, give a simple call to action such as “to learn more traffic driving strategies go visit Kyle’s website at www.EasyTrafficSteps.com.”

You can hear an example of what I am recommending that you do here: www.FatLossLunchBreak.com/mikeg1.html

This is a short 5 minute interview I did with a guest expert as part of one of my affiliate marketing websites. You can interview a guest expert and use this audio as a content piece, as a bonus for a product, or even as a piece of a bigger product (I’ll be teaching you all about how to use audios very similar to this to create high-value, high-profit products in future issues of this coaching course).

I encourage you to go set up some interviews like this one to get more comfortable with teleseminars while simultaneously creating some high value content at the same time.

Phase 4: Live Q+A Call With An Expert In Your Niche (Live Audience)

Here’s the final phase of getting comfortable with teleseminars – the live call with an audience. Get out there and follow the http://www.MyFirstTeleseminar.com system because that’s exactly what I teach you in the FREE CD and the 9 Week Training Course.

I hope to see you in the program!

‘M.F.A.’ – The Power Of Massive Focused Action And How It Can Make Your An Internet Millionaire

December 19th, 2008

I have seen a common trend meeting, working with, and studying successful marketers.  Today alone I talked to Tellman Knudson, saw a video from Frank Kern where he revealed something you may not have know about him, talked to two different information marketers about what they were doing today, and one thing struck me.

These guys are extremely successful, are all millionaires or multimillionaires, and a key factor that I KNOW that they all have in common is that they all take Massive Focused Action every day.

I do know some internet entrepreneurs that do kick back and make an easy six figures and never really work hard but the guys that I am referring to get extraordinary results because they put in extraordinary efforts – aka Massive Focused Action.

So, as I started writing this article (I have 15 minutes allotted for this here at the end of my day) I want to reflect back and show you just some of the things I did today – my Massive Focused Action for today:

The Massive Focused Action I Did Today:

-did an hour of cardio at the gym and read two different marketing newsletters

-wrote out ‘To Do List’ for today

-wrote an affiliate broadcast e-mail and sent it to over 500 hundred affiliates asking them to promote a new product

-called up and e-mailed 10 different high power affiliates and convinced 6 of them to mail today (this will easily pull in hundreds of new customers)

-set up two different cross promotions with joint venture partners that will make a lot of money and generate some new e-mail subscribers

-wrote THIS ARTICLE for this newsletter in 15 minutes

-responded to 5 customers who had product questions

-worked with a tech guy to get a new sales system set up and ready to launch by end of day (hopefully!)

-checked in on a different sales system that we are developing so we can promote it starting in a couple days

-took a break and walked around the neighborhood with my English Bullddog Noble while listening to Psycho Cybernetics by Dr. Maxwell Maltz

-worked with copywriters on two different sales letters for new sales system

-modified two different download pages to make them more profitable (put an offer on our download pages for another product)

-called four different marketers and scheduled teleseminar interviews with them and Tellman for a new product we are creating

-listened to an audio interview and wrote sales copy for it to make a new content piece for a niche membership site

-coordinated with programmers on a new membership site update that will make our current members raving fans!

-identified a HOT keyword topic being searched for and set up a Google Adwords traffic to a test landing page to see how it converts

-reached out to a new affiliate for one of our niche sites

-wrote down notes on plan for tomorrow

-heading down to the gym to lift weights and enjoy the evening with my wife (I think we are going to order some Sushi and watch a movie)

Three Tips To Take More M.F.A.

1.  Know What Your Ideal Outcomes Are, Set Goals, and Identify most profitable activities and focus on those

2.  Eliminate distractions and stay focused on what matters most

3.  Work to a schedule and tackle the most important elements on your list everyday.

Remember, if you want to be successful you must do what successful people do (its called Modeling).  Successful people take MFA every day and I hope that you take Massive Focused Action and don’t let anything get in your way.

Ask yourself right now, what are the most profitable things you could do today to move your online business forward? What existing model of online success can you model? What can you do today to drive more traffic to your site?  What can you do to improve conversions?  What upsells can you put in place?  What are some new ways that you can add new revenue streams to your online business?  Answer these questions and then get to work!

I want to know if my articles are helping you AND what you would like me to cover in future editions of the newsletter:
